August was a productive month for Dtravel, marked by significant strides in product development, ecosystem expansion, and strategic integrations. From the launch of Dtravel Rewards: Season 1 to integrations and improvements, Dtravel has been steadily enhancing the user experience and expanding the ecosystem’s global reach. Collaborations, like the early integration with Travala.com and the introduction of PIX Payments via Stripe in Brazil, are opening new doors for crypto-native travelers and property managers alike. Dtravel Rewards: Season 1

• Launched on August 1, 2024, Dtravel Rewards: Season 1 is designed to boost listings, on-chain bookings, and community engagement.
• Participants earn points that convert to $TRVL at the end of Season 1.
• Nearly 3,000 Dtravel Reward accounts have been created so far.

Travala.com v1 Integration

• Launched a v1 integration with Travala.com, featuring banners that direct users to vacation rental listings in five cities: Dubai, London, Pattaya, Warsaw, and Tbilisi.
• This integration introduces crypto-native travelers to the Dtravel network and promotes peer-to-peer crypto bookings.

PIX Payments via Stripe

• PIX Payments via Stripe is now available, offering the most popular payment method in Brazil.
• Given the rapid growth of listings in Brazil, supporting localized payment options became a top priority.

Nite Protocol: Dusk

• Developed in collaboration with industry leaders, Dusk is an on-chain data standard for short-term rental properties and rental conditions.
• Dtravel endpoints are now Dusk compliant, enhancing connectivity and making it easier for third-party direct booking sites to be listed on Dtravel’s Metasearch, thereby scaling supply.

Nite Protocol: Crypto Payment Widget

• The Crypto Payment Widget is now live in production and will be tested on third-party booking sites by a Nite Protocol founding partner.
• By enabling non-Dtravel-powered sites to process crypto payments, we can significantly increase Dtravel revenue and the number of crypto-bookable listings across the network.
• Revenue generated through fees will support token buyback and burn programs.

Airbnb Sync Upgrade

• Ongoing enhancements to Dtravel’s Airbnb sync are benefiting property managers, especially those without a PMS, in creating and managing Dtravel-powered listings.
• The latest update allows the connection of multiple Airbnb accounts, expanding the bookable inventory on the Dtravel network.

Booking Site Improvements

• Ongoing improvements to Dtravel-powered booking sites include resolving UX issues for both vacation rental operators and travelers.
• Recent updates feature enhancements to the listing photo gallery for a better user experience.

Thirdweb Startup Program

• Dtravel joined the second cohort of thirdweb’s Startup Program, gaining access to powerful Web3 development tools and resources.
• The program provides us with tools, credits, and networking opportunities to accelerate our growth and scale the Dtravel ecosystem.

Optimism Superchain App Accelerator

• Dtravel has been accepted into the Superchain App Accelerator, powered by thirdweb and Optimism, marking a major milestone in our mission to offer seamless, cost-effective peer-to-peer vacation rental bookings.
• This program provides Dtravel with gas credits to subsidize transaction costs, making on-chain bookings easier and more accessible for travelers worldwide.

Pangolin Club

• Dtravel has partnered with Pangolin Club, an NFT-based travel club offering members lifetime discounts on luxury stays at over 4,000 properties worldwide.
• The NFT public sale is available at a 10% discount for $TRVL token holders.
• The Pangolin Collection, featuring over 60 luxury properties in South Africa and Thailand, will soon be integrated into the Dtravel network.
• This integration will allow Pangolin Club NFT holders to verify ownership during booking and unlock discounts of up to 60% on stays.

NVIDIA Inception

• Dtravel has officially joined NVIDIA Inception, a program supporting startups at the forefront of technological innovation, marking a significant step forward in revolutionizing the vacation rental industry.
• This partnership will provide Dtravel with advanced AI resources, including specialized training and go-to-market support, enabling us to accelerate our AI-driven solutions and enhance the user experience in the Dtravel ecosystem.

Nite Protocol

• Onboard the first major vacation rental solution provider to adopt the Nite Protocol.
• This includes developing and improving upon a website plugin that acts as a Nite Protocol interface, allowing property managers to accept crypto payments and tokenize booking data on-chain using the Dusk data standard.

Staking v2

• New staking contracts are in development, introducing more TRVL utility within the Dtravel ecosystem.
• These contracts will offer incentives such as rewards and savings to holders as outlined in the TRVL Tokenomics litepaper.

Weave Integration

• Weave makes it easier for users of any PMS (Property Management System) to create Dtravel-powered listings.
• This should lead to a significant increase in bookable supply across the Dtravel network.

On-Chain Reviews

• The current 5-star review system is subjective, ambiguous, and often biased as a result of negative reviews.
• We’re proposing an on-chain review system that, as a starting point, focuses on the accuracy of property listings.
• This proposal will utilize TRVL to reward positive reviews, ensuring users have a strong incentive to contribute constructive feedback.
