Dtravel Rewards: Listing Incentive Program (IP)

Learn how you can maximize your TRVL allocation at the end of Season 1 by participating in the Listing Incentive Program.

Dtravel Rewards: Listing Incentive Program (IP)

Dtravel Rewards, funded by up to 150 million TRVL, consists of multiple Incentive Programs (IPs) aimed at expanding Dtravel’s vacation rental DePIN (decentralized physical infrastructure network).

In this post, we will cover the Listing Incentive Program (Listing-IP).

Important: Points vary in value across Incentive Programs, so points earned from the Listing-IP may not directly equate to those from the Booking-IP or Community-IP, and vice versa. Points will be converted into TRVL at the end of each season. Those who participate in Incentive Programs will be whitelisted to participate in ecosystem staking.

Season 1 begins July 31, 2024 and will run for 3 months.

Listing-IP: Overview

Active vacation rental listings are essential to Dtravel’s network health. Vacation rental operators bringing their business on-chain in key markets attract traveler demand, generating usage fees that fund rewards for TRVL holders. Rather than a broad approach, the Listing-IP strategically targets markets with existing traveler demand.

The Listing-IP encourages active listings in new and high-demand markets. Vacation rental operators can maximize their rewards by being the first to list properties in these markets. Participants who don’t manage or operate properties can still benefit by referring operators, significantly boosting their seasonal reward allocation.

The Listing-IP focuses on supply growth in two key areas:

  1. High-Demand City Listings
  2. New Market Listings

This document delves deeper into these topics and outlines how you can earn rewards by contributing listing growth.

High-Demand City Listings

The Listing-IP strategically incentivizes adding listings in cities with high traveler demand. By focusing on supply density in cities where digital nomads and crypto travelers are most likely to book, network usage fees will quickly rise, supporting various reward programs.

Whitelisted Cities: A total of 100 high-demand cities have been identified and whitelisted. Listings added in these cities will receive the highest amount of points, leading to a greater TRVL allocation at the end of the season. View the list of cities here:

How to Earn Points: High-Demand City Listings

You can earn points by either adding your own listings located in whitelisted cities or by referring to vacation rental operators who subsequently add listings in whitelisted cities.

Activity: High-Demand City Listing - Vacation rental operators can collect points if they activate new listings in any whitelisted city. The earlier a listing is activated, the more points it will earn.

  • Listing #1 to #20 - 5,000 points
  • Listing #21 to #40 - 4,000 points
  • Listing #41 to #60 - 3,000 points
  • Listing #61 to #80 - 2,000 points
  • Listing #81 to #100 - 1,000 points

End date: Dtravel network achieves 100 listings in each of the 100 whitelisted cities.

Activity: High-Demand Listing Referral - Anyone can earn points by referring a vacation rental operator who activates new listings in whitelisted cities. The earlier a listing is activated in a high-demand market, the more points it will earn.

  • Listing Referral #1 to #20 - 1,000 points
  • Listing Referral #21 to #40 - 800 points
  • Listing Referral #41 to #60 - 600 points
  • Listing Referral #61 to #80 - 400 points

New Market Listings

In addition to High-Demand City Listings, the Listing-IP encourages geographical diversification by rewarding active listings in new markets.

How to Earn Points: New Market Listings

You can earn points by either adding listings in new markets or by referring to vacation rental operators who subsequently adds listings in new markets. A “new market” is a city with more than 50,000 people or a location at least 50km away from the nearest other market that has listings.

Activity: New Market Listing - Vacation rental operators can earn points if they are the first to activate listings in a new market. A listing is only eligible if it is in a new market.

  • New Market Listing - 5,000 points

End date: Dtravel network achieves 1000 new listings in 1000 new markets.

Activity: New Market Referral - Anyone can collect points by referring a vacation rental operator who becomes the first to activate a listing in a new city. A listing is only eligible for referrals if it is in a new market.

  • New Market Listing - 1,000 points

End date: Dtravel network achieves 1,000 new listings in 1,000 new locations.
