TRVL Longevity Powered by Unstoppable Infrastructure

Today, we’re announcing the most important evolution in Dtravel’s history by honoring our commitment to progressive decentralization and taking it to the ultimate level with the Nite Protocol — an unstoppable, autonomous, and open-source blockchain infrastructure network governed by code.

TRVL Longevity Powered by Unstoppable Infrastructure

Today, we’re announcing the most important transition in Dtravel’s history:

A move from progressive decentralization to the Nite Protocol — an unstoppable, autonomous, and open-source blockchain infrastructure network governed by code.

As part of this transition, we’re introducing a token stabilization plan designed to reduce TRVL’s circulating supply while driving new demand through protocol-level staking incentives.

Here’s how it works and why it matters.

Unlocking Unstoppable Travel

We believe the Nite Protocol represents the most significant catalyst for long-term TRVL adoption.

It’s the infrastructure layer the travel industry not only needs, but also what the vacation rental market is most excited about, and ultimately what will ensure the TRVL ecosystem scales beyond any single platform or team.

To bring this vision to life, we’re transitioning Dtravel from a progressive vacation rental DePIN project into two distinct but synergistic efforts:

  1. Nite Protocol: an autonomous, open-source protocol for vacation rentals, governed entirely by code.
  2. Dtravel: a consumer product leveraging the Nite Protocol, responsible for contributing to immediate user adoption and fueling network growth.

This is more than a rebrand. The Nite Protocol is a permissionless infrastructure layer, open to anyone who wants to build, deploy, or grow direct booking systems.

The ultimate goal is to enable a blockchain-powered short-term rental protocol that is:

  • Backend-free and deployable by anyone
  • Costless to operate
  • Unstoppable by design
  • Leverages a catalyst for TRVL utility

Why it Matters

Unlocking Growth

The strength of decentralized infra lies in its openness. With the Nite Protocol, anyone can build on its core–from direct booking engines and metasearch layers to shared collectives and integrations we haven’t imagined yet.

Real Community Ownership

The Nite Protocol unlocks true ownership by design, not through branding, but through code. Builders can permissionlessly integrate TRVL into any product, earning and contributing to the network at the same time.

No gatekeepers or blockers. Just aligned incentives between builders, operators, and travelers. As the ecosystem grows, so does TRVL’s role as its economic engine.

TRVL Resilience and Demand

The strategic transition from Dtravel to the Nite Protocol introduces a fundamentally stronger foundation for TRVL — one that combines enforced supply constraints with protocol-native demand.

Here’s how:

1. Supply Constraints: 50% of Total Supply Locked

To ensure long-term confidence in TRVL, all vested and future vested tokens from the original TGE (Token Generation Event) contracts will be re-locked, including:

  • Foundation Reserve
  • Community Treasury
  • Growth Fund

These tokens are being re-locked with strict usage restrictions. They will not be sold or used for liquidity, and any future usage will be subject to the protocol governance.

This means no supply overhang, no unlock cliffs, and no unexpected dilution. The circulating supply will effectively be capped at 500m TRVL. This creates a powerful supply shock that supports long-term token stability.

2. Protocol-Level Utility: Staking Built Into Code

The Nite Protocol introduces TRVL staking directly at the smart contract layer. TRVL will be used to:

  • Stake on properties and earn booking-related fees
  • Pay for protocol level transaction booking costs
  • Improve visibility of a host’s listings in the Nite Protocol Explorer

This isn’t synthetic utility — it’s direct, enforced demand tied to real-world economic activity. As more hosts adopt the protocol and more bookings flow through Nite contracts, TRVL becomes the coordination mechanism for the entire ecosystem.

Stakers who support the best-performing properties earn the most fees. Hosts who stake TRVL gain exposure and reduce costs. Travelers book directly with crypto.

In short: every incentive in the system flows through TRVL.

What’s Next?

We’ll be rolling out updates across the protocol in stages. Key details including token lockup details and on-chain confirmations will be shared in the coming days. In the meantime, here’s what to expect:

1. Public Github Repo

2. Token Lockups

  • Publish an overview of token lockup plan:
    • Foundation Reserve, Growth Fund, and Community Treasury
    • E.g. Foundation Reserve tokens will never be sold or used for liquidity.
  • Update the community with successful on-chain transactions

3. Technical Blueprint

  • Share technical Nite Protocol blueprint
    • Backend-free smart contracts with zero reliance on servers.
    • Crypto-native booking engine.
    • TRVL staking + property token minting.
    • Explorer and dashboards deployed on GitHub Pages.
    • Example frontends available for builders to fork and customize.

4. Builder-First Community

  • Anyone can build, extend, or contribute to the protocol.
    • We’ll support custom direct booking sites, AI-generated frontends, and tooling.
    • Github is open to community contributions.
    • Grants and bounties to support protocol-aligned projects.
  • We’ll be actively collecting community feedback at each stage, including repo issues and pull requests

5. Protocol Governance

  • The Nite Protocol will not rely on multisigs or centralized teams.
    • Governance to determine token unlocks and protocol parameters.
    • TRVL holders may update parameters based on rules embedded in the contracts.
  • Community participation will be critical at each stage.

A New Chapter Begins

We believe the future of travel will be built on blockchain infrastructure, not centralized platforms. This is how open networks win.

The Nite Protocol is not a company, nor is it a platform. It is an open-source ecosystem that anyone can use, extend, and build upon.

Its decentralized core is designed to outlast teams, companies, and even market cycles.

We’re locking up the float. We’re unlocking real utility. And we can’t do it alone.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll need your input, your feedback, and your help — from building frontends and tools to growing the network and supporting protocol adoption. If you believe in a decentralized future for travel, now’s the time to help shape it.

Together, we’re building the future of travel — autonomous, unstoppable, and powered by TRVL.
