How to Add Upsells

Upsells let you offer guests optional add-ons, services, or products they can include with their reservation. This creates a better guest experience while helping you earn more revenue per booking.

✨ Why Use Upsells?

  • Increase revenue: Offer extras like airport pickup, late checkout, or welcome baskets.
  • Enhance the guest experience: Provide personalized services guests will love.
  • Flexibility: Guests choose which add-ons they’d like before confirming their booking.

🛠 How to Create an Upsell

  1. Go to Settings in your Dtravel dashboard.
  1. Select Upsells.
  1. Click Add upsell.
  1. Fill out the following:
      • Upsell Name: This is what guests will see (e.g. “Airport Pickup”).
      • Description: Provide details about the item or service.
      • Price: Set the cost (in your selected currency).
      • Charge Basis: Choose whether the upsell applies per reservation, per guest, or per night.
      • Max Quantity per Booking: Limit how many times a guest can select the upsell (e.g., 1 late checkout per stay, 3 bottles of wine).
      • Image (optional): Upload a photo to help guests visualize the upsell.
  1. Click Continue to save.

👀 Guest Experience

When a guest books your property, they’ll see available upsells during checkout. Guests can select which add-ons they want before finalizing their reservation.

💡 Tips for Success

  • Use clear, guest-friendly names (e.g., “Welcome Wine Package” vs. “Wine”).
  • Add appealing photos to increase conversion.
  • Test different price points to see what works best.
  • Think about what makes your property special—upsells should reflect your brand.

📌 Note

  • Upsells are optional: guests can choose whether or not to add them.
  • Hosts can create multiple upsells, but each listing can only show available ones.
