This charming hilltop farmhouse is situated in the heart of the Southwest Alentejo natural park, offering breathtaking views of the cork tree forest, distant hills, and the Monchique mountain range. You can hear the ocean waves crashing against the cliffs far away, while taking in the fragrant aroma of wild cistus plants mixed with the refreshing sea breeze. With its proximity to a native cork tree forest ecosystem, you can expect to encounter plenty of wildlife during your stay.
The space
The house, built in the millennial local tradition of "taipa" (rammed earth laid on a shale foundation), has undergone recent renovations (2023), providing all the conveniences of a modern minimalist functional home while being nestled in a stunning natural landscape. With three rooms available, the house can comfortably accommodate a total of five individuals.
Bedroom 2 offers the option of choosing between a single (80 x 200 cm) or double bed (160 x 200 cm), so be sure to let us know your preference (refer to the photos for more information).
For groups of six or seven individuals, for instance traveling with children, Bedroom 3 offers the option of having a short-single (80 x 190 cm) or double mattress (160 x 200 cm) placed on the floor, adding to the single bed already present (90 x 200 cm). If you would like this option, please let us know in advance.
Guest access
You will have complete access to the entire house and its outdoor areas in complete privacy. Just steps from the property, guests can explore tens of kilometers of trails that wind through the Southwest Alentejo natural park, offering stunning views of the hills, mountains, and river. For those seeking a refreshing swim, the river is located about one kilometer away (10-min walk) and can be easily accessed.
